...FCE speaking test

Today, I took the FCE speaking test...It was neither good, nor bad! I may be accepted, but I wasn't as good as i thought i would be...'cause well there was stress, and the interlocutor wasn't so calming or something...you know,the way that makes you feel good! and my partner was my closest friend, which is too bad,'cause you are gonna laugh at any silly thing ,'cause you have a good memory about that together, so that makes it hard for you to concentrate, as you don't have to laugh without a reason during the exam, so if you ever wanted to take the exam, go with a partner you don't know at all, and that would be easier.well ,so went in together(with lots of stress,and i dunno why, because i ain't the kind of person that gets stress for an exam, or something, and I was really calm last time for the PET test...so that was a little strange for me to be so nervous) another tip! try to stay calm or you'll ruin your test!well...where was I?aha! we went in and took seats, and waited for the interlocuter to start the test.He started with simple questions:well, i'm gonna write everything that i remember:(I is the interlocutor, N is me & D is ma friend)l

I:Good morming. Take your seats...( we sat!)Could I have your mark sheets, please? Thank you.
(the students hand their mark sheets to the examiner)
My name is X and this is my colleague Y. She is just going to be listening to us.l
What is your name?l

D:I'm Delaram Rahim.l

N:and i'm Novin (while he was gathering my marksheet)l

I: Thank you. First of all we'd like to know something about you, so I'm going to ask some questions about yourselves.l
Delaram, Where are you from?l

D:I'm from tehran...um, I've been living here since I was a small child.l

I:Where are you from, Novin?l

N: I'm from tehran too...and I love it !!l

I: waht do you like about living in tehran?l

N:well, it is the capital, and I have easy access to everything i want...there are good institutes to learn english(!!!), good shopping centers...(remember you mustn't use simple adjectives like good)l

I: thank you, what do you like about tehran, Delaram?l

D:It has more outdoor activities to do than other cities in Iran.l

I: what do you mean by outdoor activities?l

D:things you can do out side of the house...there are more things to do here ...l

I:aha...Novin, Do you work,or study?l

N: I study.I've just started high school, and I really love it!!(see? using the same sentence i just used a few seconds ago!)l

I:Delaram who is your favorite teacher?why?l

D:It's our maths teacher...because she teaches so good...and she is caring..about her students.l

I:what do you to do with your friends?l

N:I'd like to go to movies...and we may have some lunch or something afterwards...(Remeber!you can always lie! these two are activities I hate most!!)l

I:How did you celebrate your last birthday, Delara?l

D: I celebrated it with my friends we went out for dinner and I ordered cake for everyone for dessert.l

I: aha...Thank you. Now I'd like each of you to talk on your own for about a minute.I'm going to give each of you two different photographs and I'd like you to talk about them.Here are your pictures delara, in these picture you see people having fun together, why do you think they are having fun?(picture1:two cyclists cycling in mountains, Picture2:a group of people sitiing round fire in a desert or something)l

D: in the first picture i can see 2 people cycling looks like they are a proffessional ,they are wearing helmets the man is wearing a blue shirt with streachy short pants the woman is wearing an yellow shirt with short pants, in the background, i can see a beautiful scenery,i can see a sea it looks like they are in a mountain... in the secend picture i can see a bunch of people sitting round a fire...

I:Thank you.would you want to do either of these novin?l

N:Yes, the second one, i suppose...with my family...l

I: Ok...here are your two photographs, Novin. In these pictures, you can see people spending their time alone.why do you think the enjoy their time?l

N:well...in the first picture, I can see a man painting in front of the sea, perhaps he is a painter, and he maybe enjoying himself ...er.. painting...in the second picture, I can see a teenaged boy playing a computer game...he may be in his own house...and I don't think it is really good for him, because it doesn't broaden his mind...and is harmful ...(in this place i am damn clueless!!),I say that's it, and he gathers my pic)l I didn't say anything about their clothes, the season, their appearence & the man's age...that's probably not so good...l

I:thank you. Now, I'd like you to talk about something together for about three minutes. I'm just going to listen.Here are some pictures of things that might be important for people in nowadays life.Decide which two are the most important.l

N:would you like to start?l

D:ok.I can see a cellphone here. cellphones are really important in everyday life and evryone has got a cellphone now. What do you think?l

N:Yeah I agree.evryone needs a cellphone, it can come quite handy.Here, I can see a car, it is probably important for people to have a car, as they can easily go from home to work & ...er...work to home...every one wants to have a car...

D:yes, but they can use public transportation.l
